Heather has received a Masters of Arts (MA) degree from William James College in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Family and Couples Therapy. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies at Emerson College where she graduated summa cum laude. Her graduate training program has allowed her to train within the Lynn Public Schools, working with both middle and high school students with learning challenges who attended an alternative school program. Throughout her training she has had a vast amount of exposure to the school IEP process and how to coordinate with outside agencies/treaters. She has also trained at Walden Behavioral Care, where she treated patients with eating disorders who struggled with co-morbid mental health issues. Her training has provided her with a depth of experience in treating patients with severe psychiatric presentations in combination with co-morbid substance use issues given her prior placement at Arbour Hospital's Partial Hospitalization Program. |
