Kramer Taylor, MA
Practicum Intern

Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student at William James College

Kramer Taylor is a fourth-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at William James College. He provides psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with a collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach to care.

Training Background
Kramer’s previous training includes providing outpatient counseling services at Center for Achieving Balance for Children and Families, where he worked with youth and families navigating emotional, behavioral, relational, and family system challenges. His clinical work includes reunification therapy, individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. He collaborates closely with caregivers, schools, attorneys, hospitals, and child-serving systems to support comprehensive and coordinated care for clients and families.
Kramer has extensive experience supporting adolescents and families across school, community mental health, forensic, and intensive home-based treatment settings. As a School Adjustment Counselor Intern at a therapeutic day school, he worked closely with adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties, providing counseling support, care coordination, and assistance with educational and vocational goals. His background also includes providing Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) to youth and families in community settings, helping families navigate complex mental health and systemic challenges while building resilience and stability.

Clinical Experience
Prior to entering doctoral training, Kramer worked as a forensic clinician and case manager supporting adults with severe mental illness involved in the legal system. In this role, he provided clinical support, crisis intervention, care coordination, and community reintegration services for individuals experiencing psychotic disorders and other significant psychiatric concerns. These experiences continue to inform his compassionate, nonjudgmental, and systems-oriented approach to treatment.
Kramer utilizes evidence-based and integrative treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based interventions, play therapy techniques, and CBT for psychosis. He also has training in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and approaches therapy with sensitivity to each client’s developmental, cultural, relational, and spiritual context.
His professional interests include child and adolescent mental health, trauma, family systems work, severe mental illness, forensic psychology, resilience-building, and helping individuals strengthen self-understanding and emotional well-being across the lifespan.
Outside of clinical work, Kramer has remained deeply involved in youth mentorship, coaching, and community service throughout his career. His background in athletics, coaching, and mental health advocacy continues to shape his relational, supportive, and strengths-focused style as a clinician.
