Parker Zyndorf, PsyD
Staff MMT Clinician

Dr. Parker Zyndorf earned his Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Dr. Zyndorf also received a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, magna cum laude, from New York University. Dr. Zyndorf’s doctoral training included focused study on adapting psychotherapy for gender diverse adolescents experiencing depression.

Training Background
Before joining Copernican, Dr. Zyndorf completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital where he worked within an interdisciplinary outpatient specialty service providing consultation, assessment, and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults and their families. In this role, he conducted comprehensive psychosocial evaluations, collaborated closely with medical and behavioral health providers, and participated in multidisciplinary care coordination.

Dr. Zyndorf completed a predoctoral internship at JCCA’s Westchester Campus in Pleasantville, NY, a residential treatment center serving youth involved in the child welfare system. There, he provided individual and group psychotherapy and trauma-informed crisis intervention to children and adolescents with complex developmental, emotional, and relational needs. His training emphasized evidence-based and attachment-informed approaches, including CBT, TF-CBT, ACT, DBT-A, and the ARC framework.

Dr. Zyndorf’s prior clinical training has included placements on inpatient and intensive outpatient units at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, where he provided short-term individual and family therapy, facilitated DBT-A skills groups, and co-led multifamily and parent groups, including groups for caregivers of transgender and gender diverse adolescents. He also trained in outpatient adult therapy and school-based psychological assessment and intervention at Nova Southeastern University’s Psychology Services Center.

Clinical Experience

Dr. Zyndorf’s clinical experience spans childhood through young adulthood, with particular expertise in working with adolescents and emerging adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, identity development, interpersonal difficulties, and family relationship challenges. He practices from an affirming, collaborative, and culturally responsive framework and integrates evidence-based modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT-informed interventions, TF-CBT, and attachment-based approaches.
