MMT: Multi-Modality Therapy (more info)
Multi-Modality Treatment (MMT) processes have been utilized to accelerate the clinical engagement of treatment-resistant patients by integrating a holistic view of learning with an eco-systemic awareness of the familial and educational factors that impinge upon or contribute to treatment outcomes.

Our Holistic,  Learning-Intensive DBT Program includes the following components:
Comprehensive Learning/Clinical Evaluation: A full evaluation of a patient’s learning history, past testing history, academic challenges, school-based IEP goals, and social skills challenges that reviews past testing and at times requires updated testing that is completed by our staff members.

Skills Group: A weekly DBT skills training group that maximizes traditional DBT interventions in light of the patient’s learning profile that promotes group-based discussion and increased metacognitive awareness.

Individual/Family Therapy Sessions: Weekly individual therapy sessions
(1-2 sessions per week) synergistically interact with DBT group interventions and family support/training sessions.

Skills Focus: Emphasis on DBT’s five skills modules that include:
  • Core Mindfulness Skills
  • Distress Tolerance Skills
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills
  • Emotion Regulation Skills
  • Middle Path Strategies
