Rory Sullivan, MA
Staff MMT Clinician
Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student at William James College

Rory Sullivan, MA is a current fifth-year Clinical Psychology (PsyD) student at William James College where she also earned her Master of Arts (MA) in School Psychology. Previously, she graduated from Wheaton College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts (BS) with a double major in Psychology and Elementary Education with a concentration in Developmental Psychology. She is also a certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT)

Training Background
Rory has an extensive background in working with children and adolescents in various settings including multiple public schools, outpatient, and community support programs. She specializes in treating patients with acute psychiatric presentations. She has refined her skills at various Massachusetts agencies such as Franciscan Children’s Behavioral Health Services, Milestones Therapeutic Day School, Applied Behavioral Learning Services, Alcott Elementary School, Adapt ABA, and Autism Learning Partners.
Rory is currently working at Franciscan Children’s Behavioral Health Services in Brighton, MA, as a Clinical Practicum Intern, where she conducts individual psychotherapy, parent training, and family therapy in an outpatient setting. During her internship, she has worked with patients with diagnoses of ASD, GAD, ADHD, MDD, OCD, attachment disorder, and adjustment disorder.

While at Milestones Therapeutic Day School in Waltham, MA, Rory conducted individual and group therapy with patients across the age spectrum, utilizing social, psychoeducation, and DBT skills to foster patient growth.
During her employment with Applied Behavioral Learning Services in Wellesley, MA, Rory provided individual therapy to clients aged 5 to 12, group therapy for middle school students with diagnoses of ASD and applied naturalistic teaching for groups of middle school boys with diagnoses of ASD, GAD, ADHD, adjustment disorder, and conduct disorder. While at Adapt ABA in Pepperell, MA, Rory implemented Behavioral Intervention Plan’s for children on all levels of the autism spectrum as well as providing consultation and advocacy for clients during IEP meetings and treatment planning.

Clinical Experience
Rory Sullivan’s clinical background has provided her extensive experience in working with child, adolescent, and teenage clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorder, and all levels of the autism spectrum. Her knowledge and skill with ASD populations ranging from children to adults has granted her the ability to customize treatment to their specific needs. Her ability to work with clients who experience acute symptoms has allowed her to assess and treat patients who are experiencing high levels of stress while collaborating with their support systems. Rory’s prior experience in individual, group, school, and family modalities allows her to holistically address her clients’ presenting issues. For these reasons and many more, Rory is a valuable team member in her work with a diverse mix of fellow clinicians within CCS and throughout the greater Boston mental health community.
