Sherry Paden, PsyD

Dr. Paden is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who graduated from William James College, where she received her Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in addition to a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Professional Clinical Psychology. Dr. Paden also received a Master of Arts (MA) in Forensic and Legal Psychology from Marymount University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Shepherd University.

Training Background
Dr. Paden has extensive experience working in acute psychiatric treatment settings and is well versed in treating a variety of issues related to typical childhood development, family relationship difficulties, as well as behavioral and mood disturbances in therapeutic school placements, residential treatment programs, and inpatient settings. Currently, Dr. Paden is an Attending Psychologist at Boston Children's Hospital Inpatient Psychiatry Service and maintains an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry.


Dr. Paden completed her Post-Doctoral training at Boston Children's Hospital, as part of the Psychiatry Consultation Service. During her fellowship, Dr. Paden provided consultation-liaison services for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families facing challenges related to medical illness and hospitalization, including new diagnoses, chronic illness, acute medical or psychiatric crises, and difficulty coping with hospitalization. 

Clinical Experience
Dr. Paden completed an APA Accredited Pre-Doctoral internship at Casa Pacifica Center for Children and Families, in Camarillo, CA. While at Casa Pacifica, Dr. Paden’s training focused on treating complex trauma and disruptive behaviors by providing long-term psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis management to at-risk youth.

Dr. Paden has also trained at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University’s Brown Center for the Study of Children at Risk, UMass Chan Medical School’s Adolescent Continuing Care Unit, and Harvard Medical School’s largest Psychiatric Teaching Hospital, McLean Hospital’s Arlington School.
