Allison Lawsky, PsyD
Post-Doctoral Fellow in Psychology

Dr. Lawsky is a Post-Doctoral Intern who graduated from William James College, where she received her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Children and Families of Adversity and Resilience. While at William James College, she also received her Master of Arts (MA) in Professional Psychology. As an undergraduate, she attended Brandeis University where she received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology with a minor in Education Studies.

Training Background
Dr. Lawsky has an extensive background in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. She has worked in settings that have included outpatient and assessment centers as well as K-12 public, collaborative, and therapeutic school programs. Dr. Lawsky specializes in treating patients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of intellectual, developmental, trauma-related and behavioral disorders who require support and coordination of their outpatient team.

She has enhanced her clinical training at various well-known Boston-Metro Area agencies. Previously at the Beacon Assessment Center in Leominster, MA, Dr. Lawsky honed her skills in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) in her work with children with ASD diagnoses. During her time there, she also provided neuropsychological assessments for infant and toddler-aged ASD patients and established a group for supporting parents of young children with ASD diagnoses. While at Triumph Center in Reading, MA, Dr. Lawsky worked closely with the Swampscott Middle School to provide individual therapy to students, helped develop customized IEP plans, and provided a weekly social skills group for their 5th grade population. At various internship placements such as The Lighthouse School and Northeast Health Services, Dr. Lawsky evaluated students with crisis management/risk assessment needs. She worked with patients across the age spectrum who were diagnosed with a range of intellectual, developmental, trauma, and behavioral challenges.

Clinical Experience
Dr. Lawsky’s clinical background has provided her extensive experience in working with patients who struggle with ASD, depression, anxiety, and a range of externalizing behaviors. Her experience in systems-based work with families, siblings, schools, and outpatient treatment teams coordinates various treaters into supporting her patients and helping facilitate a holistic understanding of their combined learning and behavioral challenges. She utilizes her prior experience doing individual, group, and family-centered treatment to help address the complex needs of her patients at CCS. Her work with child and adolescent populations has given her the ability to address learning concerns that surface with these populations and has made her a valuable team member collaborating with fellow clinicians at CCS on a range of clinical cases.
