Dr. Alexa Myta, PsyD
Licensed Psychologist | Staff MMT Clinician

Alexa Myta is a Licensed Psychologist who graduated from William James College, where she received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) in addition to a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Professional Clinical Psychology. Alexa also received a Master of Arts (MA) in Child Study and Human Development from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology with dual minors in Behavioral Neuroscience and Education from Northeastern University.

Training Background
Alexa’s academic training started at MGH and later Tufts where she focused on child development, specifically by conducting neuropsychological testing (neurodevelopmental disorders) and supporting families to accommodate critical needs. Similar work was completed in school settings and private practice. From here, Alexa’s focus shifted to helping adults cope with experienced trauma (childhood, recent/current) which led to her implementing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings supporting a wide range of psychiatric presentations and co-morbid mental health challenges. Diagnoses have included neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma-related disorders, and substance abuse disorders.

At Copernican Clinical Services, Alexa offers individual, family, and group therapy in addition to (neuropsychological, psychological) testing.
