Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student (Psy.D)
​William James College

Thanh Phan, MA is a third year doctoral student in clinical psychology (Psy.D) at Williams James College. During her academic career, she has co-founded the Asian Mental Health Concentration at William James, raising awareness and understanding on the complexities of mental health and its effects on the lives of so many individuals and their families within the Asian community.  

Thanh has received a Masters of Arts (MA) degree from William James College in Clinical Psychology. She also received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neuroscience with a Minor in Chinese at Ursinus College.  Her graduate training program has allowed her to train as a clinical trainee at South Cove Community Health Center where she provided counseling services to individuals of all ages within the Asian community. She has also trained at the Home for the Little Wanderers where she worked with children, adolescents, families, and school systems. Throughout her training, Thanh has had a vast amount of exposure to complex cases where she has been able to utilize her language skills to also offer services in both Vietnamese and Mandarin – allowing her to work with individuals from a range of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
