"he had made the poor choice of assaulting another person" is the absolute worst way to frame this as a clinician working with someone struggling with anger and executive functioning. I desperately hope you approach your patients with more compassion, empathy, and understanding in real life than you do in this article. Or perhaps find another career, if you can so casually dismiss someone's lived experience.
